Jeffrey Wohl chairs the Employment Law practice of the San Francisco office of Paul Hastings LLP. Mr. Wohl represents major national and regional companies in high technology, biotechnology, financial services, retail, and other industry sectors, in the areas of employment litigation and counseling, including individual and class action discrimination, wage-and-hour, wrongful discharge and privacy cases.
Mr. Wohl has been elected to the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and has been named as one of the best employment lawyers in Northern California. He is a frequent writer and speaker, who has been featured in a wide range of programs for the American Bar Association, the National Employment Law Institute, the Society for Human Resources Management, Practicing Law Institute, California Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB), and other groups. He regularly moderates the CEB annual program on continuing developments in employment law. He frequently appears as a legal commentator for The San Francisco Chronicle, other general interest and legal publications, and various television and radio broadcasts concerning legal issues in the workplace.
Mr. Wohl is an accredited mediator with the Northern District of California. Mr. Wohl also serves as a mediator for parties on a private basis.
Mr. Wohl is a member of the Board of Directors of United Way of the Bay Area and serves as its General Counsel and Chief Ethics Officer. He also provides pro bono legal services to schools in the Bay Area serving children with special needs.
Mr. Wohl received an A.B. with highest honors from the University of California at Berkeley in 1977 and his J.D. from Harvard Law School (magna cum laude) in 1980. Following graduation from law school, Mr. Wohl served as a law clerk to the Honorable Morey L. Sear, U. S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana.
