FFCRA (Families First) & CARES Act Webinar

Web / TeleConference      April 8, 2020

On April 1, the Department of Labor issued a temporary rule, or essentially regulations, relating to Families First Coronavirus Response Act. These regulations are in addition to DOLís previous FAQ guidances. Join our faculty members, two of the nationís premier FMLA and FFCRA experts Ellen McLaughlin (Seyfarth) and Jeff Nowak (Littler), to discuss the new regulations, whether there are any changes from the previously issued guidances and the way FFCRA interacts with the FMLA, other state and local leave laws and an employerís provided leave policies.

We will also cover the employment portions of the $2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES). Dan Klein (Seyfarth), an expert in this area, will discuss those employment-specific (non-benefits/tax related) provisions of CARES including, unemployment insurance, limitations on executive compensation and labor implications. This program is Part 4 of NELI's Coronavirus in the Workplace Webinar Series and will be moderated by David Fram.
