John F. Aslin is a partner of the law firm of Perkins Coie, LLP, where he has specialized in labor and employment law for over 35 years. He has served as a mediator in over 450 employment cases and has advised clients, as counsel, in more than 75 mediations. The cases he has handled have ranged in complexity from simple two-party disputes to multi-party class and collective actions. Their subject matter has crossed the full spectrum of employment law disputes, including disability, discrimination, contract, wrongful discharge, and wage-hour actions.
John is a member of the ADR Round Table and the ABA's Section of Dispute Resolution. He has served for many years as a mediator under the mediation program sponsored by the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington. He has also served as a court appointed special master in a number of cases and in federal and state courts.
John is coauthor of the publication Equal Opportunity Law Update, sponsored by the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law. He is among the small number of lawyers nationally who have been honored for 25 continuous years in "The Best Lawyers in America." He has also been profiled in all editions of Chambers' publication, America's Leading Lawyers for Business.
